As season 32 kicks off, Eritrea Pro Cycling has settled into Division 4. Captain and 23-year old Tadesse Awerson showed his class with a 4th place in a division 5 race; we had an interview with him.
Tadesse, are you happy with the support you get from the team?
Tadesse:'Yes I am very happy with it, surely with my lead-out. My Spanish teammate Sanroma brings experience and strength to our team and you can feel everyone is so relaxed right now.'
What about your future plans?
Tadesse: 'I don't see a reason why I should leave this team. The team did very much for me in the beginning, giving me a captain spot when I was just 20-years old. I feel like I've to give something back.'
You talked about the new arrivals, the group expanded from 9 to 14 riders, happy with that or can you feel the competion now?
Tadesse:'Not at all, we're a group of friends. The new Scottish rider is a very talented guy, but it isn't obvious where his potentials will come to an end, ofcourse.'
Thanks for the interview.
